Outline
The Scholarship has been established to support former and transitioning Australian Defence Force Personnel or their dependents, who are experiencing disadvantage to commence studies in any UNSW undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree program.
For undergraduate recipients, the Scholarship will have a value of $5,000 per annum and will be payable for the minimum duration of a single or dual degree program. For postgraduate recipients, the Scholarship will have a total value of up to $20,000.
How to Apply
To be considered for this Scholarship, applicants must complete Part 1 and Part 2 of the application process.
Part 1
Complete the UNSW Scholarships Application form and submit evidence of your own or your parents Australian military service record through the UNSW Scholarships portal by Friday, 4 January 2019.
Part 2
Undergraduate students
Educational Access Scheme (EAS):
Students who are commencing undergraduate studies in 2019 and applying via the Educational Access Scheme (EAS) will be considered. Applications for EAS must be received at UAC by Wednesday, 1 January 2019. For more information regarding the UNSW Access Scheme, please refer to https://ift.tt/2D0Pjt6.
UAC Equity Scholarships (ES):
Commencing undergraduate students who have received an offer of admission to UNSW via other approved UNSW pathway programs can be considered by submitting an Equity Scholarship (ES) application to UAC by Friday, 4 January 2019.
Postgraduate students
Commencing postgraduate students who have received an offer for admission to UNSW can be considered by submitting an Equity Scholarship (ES) application to UAC by Friday, 4 January 2019.
(By submitting a 2019 EAS or UAC Equity Scholarship application, you may also be considered for other UNSW Equity Scholarships).
Eligibility
To be eligible, applicants must meet all the following criteria:
Be commencing in a UNSW undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree program; and
Be a former or transitioning Australian Defence Force Personnel, or their dependent
Selection
Applicants will be considered on the basis of their UAC Equity Scholarship or UAC Educational Access Scheme application.
Applicants must submit evidence of their own or their parents Australian military service record through the UNSW Scholarships portal.
Interviews
Interviews are not required to be considered for the scholarship.
